A New Understanding of “JOY”

Written December 10, 2024

During Christmas Season there are four advent candles with each advent candle representing a word:

Hope, peace, joy, and love are the four traditional themes of Advent, the season of expectant preparation leading up to Christmas:
Hope
The first week of Advent is marked by the lighting of a purple or blue candle to represent the hope in Jesus.
Peace
The second week of Advent is marked by the lighting of a purple or blue candle to represent the peace found in Jesus and the promise of peace on Earth.
Joy
The third week of Advent is marked by the lighting of a pink candle to represent the joy felt by the shepherds at the news of Christ’s birth.
Love
The fourth week of Advent is marked by the lighting of a purple or blue candle to represent God’s love for us and our love for one another.

Our Nation’s Healthcare System Needs Help!

I understand there are many people who are very upset with our nation’s healthcare.  I am open to a discussion how to approach our healthcare system.  For the this discussion I will NOT “entertain” the idea of a government operated healthcare system.  I am a believer in the sovereignty.  I believe we should own our healthcare.  And again, I am open to a discussion.  Our healthcare is in trouble. Let’s agree on that and then go from there.
I did a quick search for “What is wrong with the United States Healthcare?”  According to – clearing throat – A.I. (the answer to Wikipedia??), there are eight points to address:  Cost, Access, Quality, Complexity, Administrative Costs, Surprise Bills, Healthcare Disparities, Stigma.
My wife knows first hand what poor quality healthcare can lead to.  Around 2010, she had reconstructive surgery for her ankle.  Just the other day, she learned her doctor who did the surgery?  Got in trouble with an alleged sex addiction with patients and fellow employees at the hospital.  Maybe that is the reason he did not do any follow-up from his surgery.  Sad!
Yes.  Our healthcare system needs help.

This is Not The Solution and SORRY Example of Irony

On December 4, 2024, United Healthcare CEO – Brian Thompson was murdered.  A person who is yes, part of the problem, was murdered.  There is some sad irony that a person who was murdered was in the healthcare industry and the person who allegedly did the murder did so due to poor healthcare practices?  There is no sad irony there?

The New “JOY” for the United States of America?

At the start of the article, I shared with you what Christians celebrate during Christmas season.  We celebrate JOY.  Since June 25, 1962, our nation has grown more secular.  When a reporter actually uses the word “joy” to describe her reaction to the murder of a human being because she disagrees with how the healthcare system is hurting many people is not the “joy” Jesus Christ has taught me and billions of others!  Outrageous.  This reporter needs clinical help.  Hmmmm… Maybe her understanding of “joy” is another example of the poor healthcare system?  Just a thought.

Same Message From Me – AGAIN

We are crying for JESUS CHRIST!  If we truly kept the Judeo Christian principles that our nation IS founded on, we would not be here.  Here is any person having joy in the murder of a CEO due to the disagreement of how a system is working!  This is UN-American.  Well, it was UN-American!  Let’s continue to see the THIRD GREAT AWAKENING push through!  Go to Jesus.  When you feel that murdering this CEO is justified, go to the BIBLE and show us how the BIBLE justifies THIS specific murder!  Remember Commandment Six says, “thou shalt not kill.”  Some translations use “murder.”
I pray for Mr. Johnson’s wife, children, family and friends.  I will even offer a prayer for Ms. Lorenz that she may turn to You, Lord, to understand the true meaning / understanding of JOY!  My final prayer is:  please help the UNITED STATES find the BEST way to offer healthcare to our citizens.
Merry Christmas.
