Just so you know who is writing this article, I am just a 58 year old man, happily married to the same woman for 33 years, father, grandfather and a music teacher. I am not a psychologist or psychiatrist. As you read on (and thank you by the way), you need to know my only expertise is being me.

To see the response to this year’s election shows me there are people out of control. People who are in control would NOT respond by hurting themselves, hurting others.
People Hurting Themselves Since November 5, 2024 Election
I did a search this morning and this is what I found. When you look at the results of the search, what do you see? I want to be respectful of your feelings. I see a group of people who are struggling with the results. What is happening with those people? We (much of our nation) have done a lot to help this group of people. Special days / weeks / months “honoring” them. Having programs and clubs helping these people. And… this response to the election is a result for the work that has been done.
What Have I Learned
Many people would be better off with Jesus (really? All people would be better off with Jesus)! Since 1985, I have had Jesus Christ in my life. Yet, since November 3, 2020, my level of being with Christ has exponentially increased. Jesus is bigger than the list I share. Keep in mind, all I list happened after the Biden / Harris victory. Not blaming them, their victory or those who voted for them. Just stating a fact.
What has happened to me since?
- January 2021 – my relationships with family and friends changed for the worse. Partly my fault because I blocked them from FACEBOOK. I blocked them / “defriended” them because I didn’t want to read / hear how bad they thought Americans were for voting for President Trump. I didn’t know that blocking them / defriending would lead to losing them.
- April 2021 – the principal told me to leave Jesus Christ in the parking lot. Since July 3, 1989, it was the first time I was told to leave Jesus Christ in the parking lot. In 1997, I was told not to say “Jesus Christ” for a benediction at a Christian school because it might people feel uncomfortable. We (people at the “Christian” school) say, “In His Most Holy Name.”
- October 6, 2021 – Told by administration to not say “I love ya” to my students and other directives as well
- December 20, 2021 – Final day teaching at a public school in California and that meant, “voted-off-the-island.”
I could go on, but what I have learned is I could not have made it through those moments above and, several others not listed, if it wasn’t for Jesus Christ. For every hurtful moment I have experienced since November 3, 2020 (When President Biden & Vice President Harris won the election), Jesus Christ has filled it with his love for me.
Please.
Before you shave your head, take those pills, take another drink, get a divorce, break-up relationships – GO TO JESUS CHRIST!
God is in Control
Remember at the start of the article I wrote, we are either in control or out of control. The reality is GOD IS IN CONTROL. Give God control of your life. Yes. Being a Believer doesn’t mean your life is NOT going to feel out of control from time-to-time or living a life where every one wants to be your friend like at the bar – CHEERS. Nope. In fact, you coming out as a Believer? Oh, my. You are going to have more battles just for saying, “Jesus Christ is my Savior. My KING!” But, there is nothing better than opening up the Bible. Find the answers. And – GROW!
Believers and non-believers, there are going to be many more ‘storms’ coming our way. I will look to God being in control.
