Congratulations! You’re hired!

“Mr. Everts, we here at ‘Right Side of History Enterprises’ are happy to say, due to your qualifications:  white / heterosexual male (cisgender, if you will) / fifty-five years old / Christian meet our ‘Team Equity’ standards … YOU HAVE THE JOB!” 

I believe … strongly believe … this is going to be the United States of America’s future.  If we continue to allow the government promote “Critical Race Theory” and its “children” Equity & Ethnic Studies (the way Jorge Pacheco and hundreds like him describe “Ethnic Studies”), we will have our “Caste System.”  A caste system is a class structure that is determined by birth. Loosely, it means that in some societies, the opportunities you have access to depend on the family you happened to be born into.

Nowhere in that ‘congratulatory statement’ does it mention my abilities. 


I watched a “commercial” from NASA for their “Equity Mission.”  What took me back about the commercial was the folks featured on the NASA “commercial” sure looked ‘served’ / ‘represented.’  Saw plenty of “colors” / “genders.”  Looks like NASA is meeting their “Equity Mission.” 

From their website:  Underserved and underrepresented communities include: Black, Latino, and Indigenous and Native American persons, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color; members of religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) persons; persons with disabilities; persons who live in rural areas; and persons otherwise adversely affected by persistent poverty or inequality. 

Where in their “commercial” does the message match the “underserved and underrepresented communities?”  Each person is part of the “underserved and underrepresented communities.” 

We have Historical Black Colleges (listed in the “underserved and underrepresented communities”). 

We have scholarships for all … near all … of those communities NASA listed.  “Underserved and underrepresented communities” sure seem to have ways to get scholarships for their being part of the “underserved and underrepresented communities”

Many months in our (USA) calendar celebrate INDIVIDUAL “Underserved and underrepresented communities” (February – Black History; April – Arab American Heritage Month; May – Jewish American Heritage Month; June – Gay community; October – Filipino American History Month / LGBT History Month (hhhmmm… Two months for that “Underserved and underrepresented community”) / National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15) / Polish American Heritage Month); November – Native American Indian / Alaska Native Heritage Month).  How do “underserved and underrepresented communities” have their own months?  Go for it.  Have and enjoy “your” month!  Does not make uncomfortable.  Just want to bring up, many of the NASA “underserved and underrepresented communities” are being acknowledged and learned about!  Where is the “CELEBRATE AMERICA” month?  I thought it would have been July.

Angry Social Justice Warrior yelling at me:  EVERY EFFING MONTH IS “CELEBRATE AMERICA” YOU ALL DON’T NEED YOUR OWN EFFING MONTH. EFF YOU FOR EVEN THINKING THERE SHOULD BE A “CELEBRATE AMERICA” MONTH! (they would use the real word for “effing” citing the study, intelligent people swear / cuss / use foul language … SIGH)

Many – if not all – of those “Underserved and underrepresented communities” have clubs on high school and college universities.  Interesting to see “underserved and underrepresented communities” have clubs on many high schools and colleges / universities.  If they are “underserved and underrepresented communities,” how does a club NOT serve or represent the “communities?” 

I know a school district, looking for their new superintendent, where “equity” is their number one issue for their new superintendent!  NUMBER ONE!  The only other stakeholder to have “equity” to be their number one issue?  Answer:  Management! 

Same school district / same survey – the teachers had “innovations” maybe number two or three.  Funny.  Equity does not promote innovations.  Equity promotes “underserved and underrepresented communities.”  That has nothing to do with innovations.  

We want the best qualified person; not the best ‘looking’ person! 

Oh, by the way… that same school district … looking for their new superintendent?  Number four on their teachers’ responses to the survey of what is important for a new superintendent.  NUMBER FOUR IMPORTANCE FOR THE DISTRICT’S TEACHERS:  Student Achievement!  My goodness.  If that does not scream “equity” inhibiting our students’ work, I do not know! The teachers in that district did not have Student Achievement in their TOP THREE.  The only group (teachers) of stakeholders NOT to have Student Achievement in the TOP THREE! 

All of those “underserved and underrepresented communities” need to know how math works!  All of those “underserved and underrepresented communities” need to know how to write a sentence.  ALL THOSE  “underserved and underrepresented communities” WANT STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT! That is AND SHOULD BE the number one desire.  Good work leads to good feelings!  Acts lead to feelings … not feelings lead to acts.  Good seeds = good fruit.  

We need to return to the idea that the reason people (“underserved and underrepresented communities”) as described by NASA are coming to our country is because of the FOUNDING FATHERS’ PRINCIPLES. 

Those Founding Fathers’ principles gave us – TODAY – the opportunity to achieve goals other countries do not offer. A major reason folks, for example, leave India is due to the caste system.  Unfortunately, the “Wokers” / “Social Justice Warriors” are creating a “Caste System” in our nation.  A new / improved “Caste System,” of course!  

Those Founding Fathers’ principles led to ending slavery / creating equal rights (which have AND will eventually apply to ALL “underserved and underrepresented communities”).  Yes.  It takes a long a time to get a society to change.  We have been given a SYSTEM to change our society!  You want a different SYSTEM?  You could see different changes.  Research how “school” has changed in our nation’s history!  Those changes in the “School System” sure are not leading to “good” results.  See what children were learning in the early nineteenth century!  Prior to the “Public School” system. 

However, if “we” continue to “believe” NASA’s statement of equity (“underserved and underrepresented communities”) is still the NUMBER ONE ISSUE for our nation, even when people like Lin-Manuel Miranda, in his musical HAMILTON made all the Founding Fathers Black / Latino (non-white) actors, we will be led to UNINTENDED CONSQUENCES of mediocrity.  In many other nations, if Lin-Manuel Miranda had made historical figures inaccurate, he would be in prison, if not worse! 

I want to be given a job due to my outstanding abilities. 

I want to work with people who got the job because of their outstanding abilities, and they just happen to look different than me! 

Holy smokes!  Come to think of it!  STOP!  We have regressed (which I think is part of the point of groups promoting “Critical Race Theory” or “Equity”) to where race matters. 

For me to get a job, I must be so damn good that I must “overcome” me being white / heterosexual male (cisgender, if you will) / fifty-five years old / Christian.  Which, by the way, thanks to God and fricken hard work… I am THAT GOOD!  AND … you can succeed despite what you are on the outside.  Does not matter what you look like / gender is makes (or made) United States of America GREAT!  You just need to be responsible for your choices / your work / your attitude.  YOU! 

I can not AND I WILL NOT (I do what I can to bite my lip) even say, “Well, I didn’t get the job because I am white / heterosexual male (cisgender, if you will) / fifty-five years old / Christian.”  Even though there is UNFORTUNATELY merit for that statement.  

Do you want to be given the job because you are a member of “underserved and underrepresented communities”?  Really?  You do?  I appreciate your honesty.

People come to the United States of America to escape the “Caste System” AND NOW… they are seeing a “Caste System” being created.  I know “exceptionalism” triggers you, but the United States of America is “exceptional” because we BELIEVED in NOT having a caste system / stop one from being created.  Oh, well…
