Stay with your mission.

I haven’t written too much about my faith.  I do want my blog to be open to all.  My faith unfortunately will turn-off people.  I want those “turned-off” people to hang-in there with me.  I will have some great “secular” insight.  Please do look at my “sacred-entries” as just another part of “Paul.”  AN IMPORTANT PART.  Hey, why not be open to more than one way of thinking?  I am certainly open to sharing thoughts with “non-Christians.”  We all have wisdom.  SHARE!!

BTW.  My FACEBOOK friends will consider this “entry” of an evolution of using media.  Normally, I would have posted this on FACEBOOK and would have been “NAILED” with … BLOG IT PAUL… DARN IT!!

John 8:42; 45 – 51

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? 47 Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

49 “I am not possessed by a demon,” said Jesus, “but I honor my Father and you dishonor me. 50 I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and he is the judge. 51 Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.”

I enjoy studying Jesus in many different ways, including as a leader. “Why is my language not clear to you?”  What leader hasn’t asked that question before?  And then when you (the leader) give the followers the answer, they won’t believe you?  Playing with verse 47, the reason you (the follower) do not hear is that you do not belong to our mission / our goal / our core values.  My students and their parents “hear” me when they “belong” to the mission statement / core values of a group I lead.  I have the students develop their mission statement / core values and we use that as our “constant.”

This is all about you (Mr. Everts)?  Love that (sarcasm).  If it was all about me, then I would not do HALF the stuff I do for the students.  ALL OF WHAT I DO IS ABOUT GOD!  Will always be about GOD.  “I am not seeking glory for myself; but there is one who seeks it, and HE IS THE JUDGE.”  Doing what I do for God (and Diana) simplifies my life and helps me with all the negatives dealing with education.  God gives me everything.

In the end, for my students, it is about our mission.  What are we doing?  In the end, for me, it is about our mission:  GOD + DIANA + PAUL!!  Stay with your mission.
